Basic Operation
Learn how to operate Pangolin AT-1 in daily use — navigation modes, task planning, and peripheral control.
Pangolin AT-1 supports flexible operation modes to suit different task requirements. This guide covers the fundamentals of day-to-day operation.
Navigation Modes
Autonomous Navigation
Based on map data and target waypoints, the vehicle is capable of autonomously planning routes to bypass obstacles and executing the corresponding driving trajectory.:
- Point-to-Point: Navigate to a single designated target
- Multi-Point Cruise: Define a sequence of waypoints for patrol or delivery routes
- Fixed Route: A global (or partial) road-based path is pre-planned. The vehicle navigates along the selected optimal route, and a free-form path is generated for the final off-road segments.

Remote Control Mode
Manual operation via the control terminal or a dedicated remote controller. Use this mode for:
- Initial mapping runs
- Precise positioning in tight spaces
- Emergency takeover situations
Task Planning
The control terminal features a visual task editor:
- Set waypoints on the map by clicking target locations
- Define task sequence by ordering waypoints
- Configure dwell time at each waypoint for charging, loading, or inspection activities
- Assign trigger actions such as activating peripherals at specific locations
- Save and dispatch the task — the vehicle executes the full sequence autonomously

Peripheral Integration
External equipment connected through standard interfaces can be controlled directly from the terminal:
- Mount your peripheral using the standard M6/M8 bolt pattern
- Connect power via the auxiliary DC output ports
- Establish communication through CAN bus, USB, or Ethernet
- Configure peripheral control in the terminal settings
- Integrate peripheral actions into autonomous task workflows
Monitoring & Status
The control terminal provides real-time telemetry:
- Vehicle position and heading on the live map
- Battery level and estimated remaining runtime

- Sensor status and signal quality
- Current navigation state and task progress
- Motor and controller temperatures
